We are excited to announce the re-opening of the OA Fund.
The current fund will be open on a first-time, first-serve basis until the funds are depleted. There are no plans at this time for ongoing funding. Please consult the criteria located on the Open Access Fund webpage before applying.
After a 1-year lapse, access to ICPSR (Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research) has been restored for OU affiliates.
ICPSR is an international consortium of academic institutions and research organizations, which provides data access, curation, and methods of analysis for the social science research community.
The ICPSR web portal provides access to a data archive on topics in the social and behavioral sciences, including specialized collections in education, aging, criminal justice, substance abuse, terrorism, and other fields. Collections include survey data, census records, election returns, economic data, and legislative records.
ICPSR can be accessed through the Databases page of the Kresge Library website, or directly via https://www.icpsr.umich.edu/. Access to download data requires the creation of a personal account using your Oakland email address.

Join us for yummy Panera® sandwiches, tasty drinks, games, and lively conversation. We encouraged faculty, students, and staff to come and discover library services and resources available to support open access publishing. We will share updates about the OA fund and our publishing agreements.
OU faculty who complete the online OER certificate course and schedule a follow-up meeting with the ACMI coordinator will receive a $300 stipend.
]]>The Affordable Course Materials Initiative (ACMI) supports faculty converting courses to utilize low-cost, no-cost, and open educational resources (OER) as course materials. However, we recognize that not all courses and subjects will have readily available OER content thus, we implemented an ebook purchasing program for qualifying courses and corresponding books.
Review the criteria and submit an application from the ACMI website.
If you have any questions, please contact Julia Rodriguez, ACMI Coordinator.
